As I was headed back to the studio from a job in Massillon, I stopped and grabbed a shot of these American Flags that were on the viaduct. I have always loved our flag, maybe it’s because my dad did and was in the service. Just a simple slice of life.
Classic Train bridge in Massillon
I never tire of capturing this old, sweet bridge. I went out this morning and captured this with my 14-24mm and caught the sun just peeking over the top. Captured at 64 iso on my Nikon Z9.
Making Light Work For Me...
When you think about light, what do you thing of? What does it do? I notice light all the time, I look for the textures it creates, shadows it forms or takes away, the warmth of it’s cast, the hues in the sky that it creates and the list can go on and on. I try to capture the things/people with light in mind, whether it be studio strobes, window light, diffused or harsh. Interior pictures can be tricky but the effort in capturing an image that stands out from others makes it rewarding. Take these images for example, they are a combination of flash and ambient and the exterior pics are all available light. I want to bring out all the warmth and beauty it has to offer and in my opinion it can only be done with lighting. Our eyes adjust to color, light ratios and so it’s important to make it inviting to those that are viewing online. Here’s a few images from a house taken yesterday for Darcy Friel.
