If I had to choose just one lens it would a wide-angle like this Nikon Z 14-24.2.8 or Canon’s 17mm TS-E. I see life most time with a wide view. I am so amazed by the performance of this new remake of Nikon’s 14-24 2.8 F-Mount. This lens is sharp edge to edge and distortion-free. I took this image yesterday, hand-held, 64 iso and so happy with the results! Without looking I would have to guess this is half the weight as the old F Mount and far superior. Earle
My friend, Ron, has always had Labs but always wanted a hound dog. After his baby passed away he said no more dogs, well fast forward almost 2 years and Earle has won his heart over! Earle is a lover, he has so much energy and as Ron describes him as he jumped in my lap, he said, he’s like a water balloon! He’s right, he lays on my lap and it’s as if all the weight goes to that side! I just laughed, it’s true! Earle is loved by all who meet him, they remember him before they do his dad!

Back to my roots...
When I graduated from high school back in 82, I took my graduation money and purchased my first real pro camera. I always loved the ads they had for it and respected the pros at National Geographic that used them and produced beautiful images. I ordered a Nikon F3 and was so excited when I finally got my hands on it and I shot hundreds if not thousands of rolls of Kodachrome with it! I had the first Nikon pro digital camera almost 20 years ago and until a couple of years ago, I shot Nikon. I found myself looking at the Canon R5 and because of the megapixels and the reviews I jumped. I had sold my gear and bought into the Canon line. The Canon R5 is a fantastic camera but I never really bonded with it, I know that sounds silly but it’s the truth. I felt like I was kinda stuck, with the purchase of good, fast, glass, I didn’t want to lose a lot of cash but I pre-ordered back in December the Nikon Z9 anyways… Well, I got a call last week and was told it was in, I kept putting it off but every morning I woke up that camera was on my mind! I finally pulled the trigger and haven’t looked back!
I really love what I can produce with this camera, how it feels in my hand, the speed it has and so many other wonderful things! I’ve shot several thousand pics with it in less than 2 weeks. I am truly impressed and I look forward to what they bring out next. Here are a few images I grabbed while walking the streets. Thanks for reading!
